This is the regulation that requires heat treatment for wooden pallets and wooden crates also known as pest control. It applies to transport between the UK, EU and most other countries. ISPM15 regulations apply to all pallet wood, wooden collars, boxes and container dunnage.

All the unprocessed timber used in packaging must be heat treated in such a way that the centre of the timber reaches 56 degrees centigrade and this is held for a minimum 30 minutes to ensure that all bugs and larvae are destroyed. This is commonly shown as 56C/30m .

This process is fully audited from the kiln to the case and as a case maker we are independently audited every 6 months to ensure we comply.

Each case, pallet or piece of timber dunnage is then stamped with our stamp which includes our unique registration number. We are able to provide a complete trail from case back to the initial treatment for every piece of timber used.
